**Dig Your Own Dahlias 2023**
It’s Back! It’s time to come out to Boxx Berry Farm and dig your own dahlias.
Please read all details.
Opening day for “dig your dahlias” at Boxx Berry Farm will be:
Saturday September 30th and Sunday October 1st.
Hours are from 10 AM to 3 PM only.
Additional dig days on:
Saturday October 7th and Sunday October 8th. Hours are from 10 AM to 3 PM
Dig your own dahlias is only available on these four days!
Directions:
• Bring your own shovel, gloves, loppers and containers to put your dahlia clumps in. None of these items will be provided so it’s important for you to remember to bring them. Wear boots!
Park in main parking lot in front of store OR drive back to dahlia field just west of store and playground. Follow upick signs.
PLEASE drive slow. We are still a working farm and there are people walking between the several buildings we have.
Please note that this is the only field available to dig dahlias.
Find the dahlia plant you want and dig the entire plant up with your shovel.
There will be no marking the plants and coming back later to dig up. You will dig and take your dahlia plant/tubers home with you on the same day.
FIRST COME FIRST SERVE; NO EARLY BIRDS
If the plant is marked off with yellow caution tape, those plants are not available to dig!
Payment is due at time of digging your dahlias. You will be able to pay in the store by credit card.
Costs this year are:
$25+ tax for any variety dahlia clump
If you dig correctly, you will get anywhere from 5-15 tubers per plant. ????
Please note: These are healthy plants that have produced successfully all summer. It is the customer’s responsibility to know how to divide the tubers, store the tubers, and plant and care for the plants in the spring. No refunds for tubers that don’t produce next year.
