Strawberry update Monday evening 6/9:
The heat for the past week has not been good for our berries. Unfortunately it is causing all our varieties to come on pretty much all at once. Our upick field we started on last Thursday is already over ripe. We are now picking in the later variety fields and we are hoping we can make it through Father’s Day weekend with good berries for you all.
Of note, we will be opening our Shuksan strawberry upick field by Wednesday for those who love that variety!
We definitely won’t get a 30-day strawberry season which is disappointing. We hope you all can come out and get your strawberries one last time from Boxx.
