The Strawberry season for 2009 ended June 30th and the raspberries are off to a great start. The berries are massive and delicious. U-Pick opened July 9, 2009. Our raspberry festival is July 18th and 19th. Including a petting zoo this year!
Blueberries are right around the corner and looking great. You might even get a chance at them early in our store, we try to pick them as they are ripening but looking at being in full swing by July 15, 2009 with U-pick following close behind.
With the economy the way it is, this year is a great year to start making your own jams or freezing your own berries whether they be what you pick or we pick. But if you just don’t have the time we have whole berries frozen and ready to buy. Come on by the store get an ice cream have some small talk with one of our wonderful employees or just enjoy the beautiful scenery. Hope to see you soon!
